Delivery charges, collection procedures, pallet shipping, buyer responsibilities and delivery requirements for auction purchases.
The following charges apply unless otherwise stated in the Important Notes for the specific Lot.
We calculate and notify delivery charges before or at the time we form the Contract.
In addition, Buyers must pay delivery charges separately from the Hammer Price, Buyer Premium and VAT.
However, delivery charges are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or where cancellation rights apply to Consumers.
3.1 Once Emerebid Auctions receives full cleared payment for the Lot(s), we will arrange delivery with our nominated Delivery Carrier.
3.2 We provide estimated delivery timescales in the Important Notes or communicate them after payment. However, delivery times remain estimates only and may vary depending on the carrier and destination.
3.3 The Delivery Carrier will contact the Buyer to confirm a delivery date and, where applicable, a timeslot. Furthermore, for Pallets Delivery or Specialist Handling, the Buyer may need to select or confirm a suitable delivery slot.
3.4 The Buyer must provide a correct and accessible UK delivery address at the time of payment. Therefore, the Buyer cannot change the delivery address after payment.
Emerebid Auctions delivers to mainland UK addresses only unless we expressly state otherwise.
4.1 Collection of a Lot is available only when the auction listing expressly allows collection.
4.2 Where collection is permitted, the Buyer must collect the Lot within the timeframe stated in the Important Notes, usually within 7 days of payment confirmation. Therefore, time is of the essence.
4.3 The Buyer remains solely responsible for safe removal of the Lot, any dismantling work required and any damage caused to the Premises or other Lots during collection.
In addition, the Buyer must comply with all health and safety requirements and provide evidence of adequate insurance if requested.
4.4 Emerebid Auctions may require prior written notice and may charge a reasonable administration fee for collection arrangements.
We will not release the Lot until we receive full payment.
5.1 The Buyer (or authorised representative) must be available to accept delivery.
We consider delivery accepted when the Lot arrives at the nominated address, is left in a safe place, is handed to a neighbour or reaches a designated collection point.
5.2 The Buyer must inspect the Lot immediately upon delivery and note any visible damage or shortages.
Furthermore, the Buyer must notify Emerebid Auctions in writing about any damage or shortages within 48 hours of delivery.
5.3 If the Buyer is unavailable, refuses delivery without a valid reason or fails to accept delivery within the stated period, we will treat the situation as a failed delivery.
6.1 Pallets Delivery is available for suitable Lots. In addition, we will confirm availability in the Important Notes or at the time of payment.
The £150.00 plus VAT charge applies per palletised consignment.
6.2 For Pallets Delivery or other bulky Lots, the Delivery Carrier may deliver only to a ground-floor location or another safe external location if weight, access or safety considerations require it.
Thereafter, the Buyer becomes responsible for moving the Lot to its final destination.
6.3 Emerebid Auctions and the Delivery Carrier are not liable for damage occurring during Pallets Delivery except where negligence causes the damage.
Risk and title in the Lot pass according to the General Auction Terms & Conditions. Therefore, Buyers should review those Terms carefully.
Once risk passes, the Buyer becomes responsible for arranging adequate insurance cover.
We limit liability for delivery and collection according to the General Auction Terms & Conditions.
However, Emerebid Auctions is not liable for delays or failures caused by the Delivery Carrier, force majeure events or incorrect instructions provided by the Buyer, except where our negligence causes the issue.
